This is agony

to live

where blood flows

like water

day

by day

 

This is agony

to see

the poor

wear torn clothes

half naked

while the rich

wear expense

only to throw it out

when bored

 

This is agony

to hear people cry

crying of hunger

everyday

while others eat

elephant's meat

with their money

 

This is agony

to live

where doctors kill

the sick

like lions

kill antelope

on the lawless savanna

 

This is agony

to live

where leaders

do not care

for their citizens

 

All they know

is their families

and their pockets

 

Even if we were all to die

they will still not care

so long as they survive.
